Cancelling the panic button always seems to have the shortest range. I had to go outside when I tripped the panic alarm at home. by mistake. On the other hand, I can start my truck from around the corner of the building and 50 feet away.

You want to talk annoying..., my Nissan had a timeout on unlocking. I needed to get something out of my truck at work. I'm on the second floor, and 50 feet away straight line of sight. 100 feet or so actual path walking...I unlocked the doors, (left the fob on the desk) went down to the truck, and just as I was about three feet away, I heard it re-lock.

The Nissan issue is very interesting. My Ranger has not done that to me to me but my Ford focus has on multiple occasions. I need to get something out of the car, my key is hanging on the key hook in the garage. I just hit the unlock and head out to the driveway. Just as I reach for the door. it locks. Gremlins ? Magic? Just timing? No matter, it is irritating, but funny at the same time. Especially since I have done it multiple times.

When in Forscan, you don't have to disable the panic fob feature completely. There is an option to change the panic button from one press to two.
Since changing to two presses, I haven't set it off unintentionally, and it's still there if I needed to use it.

Things i nerd out about. Thought it was going to be something nerdy. I hit that stupid alarm in my pocket all the time!!!! Just that one button.

Anything HALO, Star Trek, guns, and astronimical events. Yeah, so i can give classes on the use of c4 to blow s@$% up, or for breaches, or nerd out about star trek lower decks! Haha,
