Ok I think I've made a decision. My goal is within 12 months to purchase a Tune M1 camper for this truck. Due to its extended width design I have so many ideas already rolling around in my head.

The primary hassle is going to be if they don't freight ship I am going to have to take a 48 hour 3000 mile round trip to have it installed at their facility. As much as a road trip would be cool, I'd like to avoid putting those miles on the truck just for product pickup and install. Plus it would probably be cheaper and better use of time to pay freight.

Jack I think freight shipping is exactly how their model works. I work in communications and that's how I interpret this.

And RE: the wheels. IMO can never go wrong with black, but bronze would be more "exclusive" as few trucks are sold with bronze wheels.

If you go on the Accessories page, about 2/3 of the way down, they claim a flat-rate S&H of $35.

Not much to report now a days;

1.) Dropped my bed rack off at a local shop to get blasted and a fresh round of powder coat. Through all my testing shenanigan's it was not looking so great.

2.) I got around to finishing the spot light wiring. Chevrolet gives you one blank Aux piano switch on the dash. Unlike most systems I've worked with, it is a negative switched connection and they were nice enough to leave the cut off and capped wire in the passenger kick panel area.

Really it was as simple as running that wire out the passenger side firewall boot and connecting it to the negative pole on a relay. Rest of wiring was about same cept the trigger wire and main power wire are spliced together. I splurged on one of those KC Lite wire rubber channels that runs up to your roof for a nice clean look.

I really wanted to have the spots be high beam triggered, however tapping a full LED headlight unit is not something I want to mess with right now. Halogen is easy, LED can get a bit bitchy.

So I wanted a new stop gap sleeping solution until I can figure out the logistics of a Tune M1 camper.

Watching numerous YT reviews and reading articles, I just purchased this RTT.

My final price was about $1500 after delivery/tax.

I knew I wanted a hard top, but I didn't want to pay Thule or iKamper pricing. A lot of reviews who own both products now are commenting how the quality of the chicom RTT is actually higher than the name brand.

Honestly, those big dollar tents are probably made in the same China factory as these.

Well this will probably be it until I am ready to transition to a Tune M1.

The biggest thing like I said is just the logistics of it all, mainly driving all the way from Georgia to the opposite corner of the country and back and doing so while working a job like law enforcement which has abnormal schedule rotations to boot.

On 12/14 it was picked up from Hartsfield airport in Atlanta on 12/14.

Dumb luck on my behalf if its accurate.

Accurate tracking via CEVA shipping is... a bit lack luster.

I like it so far.

It arrives in quite literally a thin wood crate with Styrofoam sheets throughout. I know some of these RTT's come in a giant card board box. So that was surprising.

So just a small review. I did some camping out on the lake. Hit low 30's and wind up to 12mph. Since I had shore power available my setup was a heating blanket I laid on and a small electric heater (fan over coil type) in the corner on its lowest setting (600w).

Slept like a baby, shirtless it was so warm.

Much more comfortable than a cot in the ARB awning tent and a loss hassle then hauling out the inflatable mattress.

I really like this thing so far. Now I am not sure how 2 people could sleep comfortably in this without plenty of pressing up on each other, but as a solo rig, this thing is perfect.
