Hello everyone, I need an electrical diagram of the AdBlue (SCR) system, Ford Ranger 2.0 diesel, 2019, I have a problem with the temperature sensor in the adblue tank, error P2043, signal out of range. I had one but it changed in 18/19 lift. Thanks
This has been an ongoing issue with the AdBlue tanks in Australia, the whole temperature sensor and AdBlue heating system which is totally un-needed in Aus, as you're never going to freeze up your AdBlue over here, is poorly made, breaks constantly, and Ford won't replace it FOC after warranty even though it is obviously a design/manufacturing issue. This has mainly been on our Everest (Ranger based Wagon) model as the Ranger itself to date only has to conform to a lower emissions standard as it is treated as a "commercial" vehicle.
This will change this year as it now must perform to Euro 6 so we're probably going to see more of this.
You might be able to get some guidance from an Aus Everest Facebook group or maybe the Aus Ford forums, as I believe a number of clever individuals have been able to get around the constant need for replacement by "fooling" the system that the sensor is working using a resistor in the circuit somewhere.
