I was always an HP printer fan. But they started charging so much for their cartridges and changing them with each new printer release. Got so a set of cartridges was more than I paid for the printer, if you could find then. I've since moved over to Epson and their Ecotank printers. Had mine for over 3 years and just bought my third set of ink bottles, and the first two set came with the printer. A lttle pricier up front but much more economical on ink. Just need to clean the print head once in a while.

I don't print often. Ink jet cartridges and nozzles were always plugged when I did want to print. Cleaning cycles seldom worked and wasted ink and paper. Then as mentioned, a set new cartridges cost more than a new printer with cartridges.

I gave up several years ago and bought an HP Color LaserJet M252dw. I also have an HP Color LaserJet M254dw at a second location. Laser printers just work when you need them, without the hassles. Fast, smooth, and quieter. Mostly print black with occasional color. Not photo quality. I use an outside printer for that.

We went to just black brother laser jet for similar reasons.

Once Annie started working from home we bought a laser printer which really cut down on the ink she was using before. I've been using this company for years to purchase our ink and they have really good prices and specials around the holidays. Just sign up for their email alerts.

Laser printers are really ideal especially for high quality and don't clog up print heads like Ink Jet printers. Fortunately, I print enough that mine don't have a problem clogging. I would definitely get a Laser printer if I had a business and a larger volume of printing but mine is for home use. I have ordered cartridges from LD before and they do not work well with HP Ink Jet printers but they are excellent quality and work great on some other brands of printers.

Original HP Ink Jet cartridges are also excellent quality and have never failed yet for me but are way too expensive. I can get authentic HP cartridges discounted from reputable sellers on ebay which cut the cost of copying to a very reasonable level.

Also when I order devices directly from HP they have negotiated prices with me since I have been a long standing customer. For instance they gave me expedited shipping on this new printer for $4.00 (normally 29.00) and also cut the price of this printer below the other competitors. Good Customer service and Tech Support are also very important considerations in addition to cost.

Out on the Keweenaw looking at property's and while on the northern coastal road (M26), spied some boats waaaaaay out there and downbound. Big guy that is further out is the American Spirit heading to Gary Indiana with pellets. The other is the tug Mohawk heading to the Soo.

Eddie Aikau Big Wave international was held Sun Dec 22, 2024 for only the 11th time since its first in 1984. Waves need to be 20'+ with ideal condition to hold the event.

Same swell on Sun at Peahi "Jaws" on Maui
