Daaaaaang. And I thought I was passionate about the Super cab...
That was the only way to go for me. We only need room for our precious furry family member and other assorted valuable items that might fit back there.
Yeah , I get a little worked up about too many doors on trucks for some reason , crew cab people are the reason we have a 4 door Mustang ?now , crew cab motorcycles are next I guess ... TRIPPLE F'N DAMNIT !

They didn't let him drive it :)
Oh I'm sure TFL will have one on order pretty soon.
Andre does say in one of his videos (he has several out on the Raptor now) that he'll be driving one soon and will have a video on it. He's definitely got a sweet job which I'd love to have!

My promise to my cool car guy forefathers,
WHEN I WIN THE LOTTERY , I will buy the first Ranger Raptor I can find and switch it to a Supercab body , which is where it should be in the first place , why you need 400 hp with snotty kids and soccer balls in the back seat ? Damn it! Does Steve McQueen know about this ? Let's go back in time and ask Mr. McQueen if he minds terribly to reshoot his old movies in sedans and leave that silly 2 door in the garage because men in the future (no worries , there won't be many) need more space for things in the back seat ... DOUBLE DAMNIT !!!
Yup. Why on earth is not available as a mid-size supercab? The Watt's
Linkage in the back is something I haven't seen before.

crew cab motorcycles already exist. They’re those Polaris RAZR things that drunk idiots love to rip around off road in. They’re doing great work destroying trails and littering wherever they go since they can pack a cooler of beer and go ham. It’s accelerating the rate at which communities are trying to close cool trails to motorized vehicle use. They’re a scourge…. I’ll step off my off topic soapbox.

TFL was a bit of a joke for a while, but they’ve gradually improved their content, and continue to deliver videos with significant detail. I can’t knock them anymore. They def got a cool gig.

As far as pricing, a mid tier XLT F-150 costs $63k-ish. So the most premium trim starting at $56k actually sounds about right. It’s insane because prices jumped so fast over the last 3 years that we all remember pre-pandemic (the before times) pricing.

I’d like to consider a Raptor, but the biggest thing holding me back is the hope that different cab/bed configurations are in the Ranger’s future. I’ll take a Crew Cab long bed XLT FX4 with the 2.7L before having a short bed Raptor (just my opinion!). If Ford comes out and says “NEVER a long bed Ranger!” then I’ll potentially go Raptor.

It's OK, I can appreciate someone getting worked up over such a thing. And, I agree!
Four door Mustang, there's going to be a 4 door Vette before too long...some things just weren't meant to be. I understand some folks need a crew cab and that's totally respectable but Ford should give customers a choice. I also understand why Ford would only make a crew cab Raptor, logistically. If I could afford one I'd still get one and not complain about it. Ultimately, if I could get the Raptor suspension and a tune on my FX2 I'd be a happy camper. Hell, I'm happy now. Just stock. But it IS a super cab, haha.
Crew cab motorcycle? I quit.

That linkage is sick. Sick I say. They apparently got the suspension perfect on that thing, that's a HUGE deal. I've watched the overseas video reviews of the Ranger Raptor (haven't we all?) and the ability of that truck to fly through the air all four tires off the ground and stick the landing like a stadium truck is quite impressive.

I agree. I know not everyone likes the TFL reviews but I personally think they do a great job of real world, unbiased testing. I think the Raptor is going to get high marks. And those guys on that channel have grown on me. I like them. During my six month wait for my new 22 Ranger I probably watched every episode those guys put out. I knew more about my truck when I picked it up than my salesperson did.

Cool truck, but what does your $56k get you? I didn’t hear that much about standard vs optional equipment. In other words, what does a fairly loaded Ranger Raptor cost and what exactly is a “loaded” Raptor? The best seats, the best entertainment system, the best ?????

I think the Raptor comes with just about everything standard, it does on the Aussie version. The only option on the Aussie version are the graphics and the beadlock capable wheels so hopefully that'll be the same here. The order banks open on May 26th so we should know all the details in 2 weeks.

If that is the case, and considering a fully loaded 2024 Lariat (without the Tremor package) is likely to push $50,000, the asking price of $56,000 might not be that unreasonable (sans dealer markups).

Gotta agree with @NotBudule, I would like to see a supercab version. I just simply think they look nicer. But h*ll, I only have 3,000 miles on my '21 supercab and highly doubt I would buy the Raptor anyway. So I guess I should just keep my yap shut. . . . . Too late.

Yeah this paddle shifters are really nice and they're full paddles not just little tabs. I keep telling myself the Tremor will be all I need. Then these darn videos keep coming out and it gets me thinking about placing my order for one. I guess it can't hurt to place the order then IF the dealer does try to mark it up I'll just walk away.
Thanks for posting this, Dave. I think a lot of us are "telling [ourselves] the Tremor will be all I need"!
