No need, it's just a beater.
uh huh... starts with a quick fresh coat of paint, bearing buddys, new transom, wiseco pistons in the 15hp Johnson, new fish finder, another new fish finder with gps, another new fish finder with side scan, bimini top, wrap around canvas for those really wet days, bigger Johnson and stronger transom to hold a 40hp, install casting deck, fridge live well, more batteries... did I miss something? just from experience

EDIT: new carpet

Yeah, but it's a 18 foot 1967 Aluminum StarCraft that I won't be dumping any money into.

So i belong to a few other auto forums. One is the crv forum. The admin there is such a overbearing/controlling type that you cannot have any fun whatsoever there. it's a shame. he is constantly micromanaging every post looking for redundancy or anything out of line. It is too much like work there. So thank you to the admins here for keeping it light as we work through our issues/concerns/whatevers with our ford rangers...
LOL... Yeah, TDK is a total moron. He was promoted because they were looking for a UK local that was active on the forum. He can dish it out, but he can't take it. He's caused a few mods to leave their post for these reasons. Oh, did you say Oil Dilution? :D

This forum is about as opposite from that one as it gets.

That's a beauty!
I have a '76 Starcraft and only time I've spent more than $1k in a season was when I had the motor rebuilt. Been in the family since '86. I do just about all the work on it except major items like pulling and rebuilding the motor and if I average out the costs over the time I've owned it, it's easily less than $500/season excluding food, fuel and winter storage. Let's not work out the numbers per use or hour. ;)
No paint or carpet, 40+ yr old fish finder, original top, patch the floor and seats as needed... Never worry about food or fish on the floor or hard docking. :like:

Oh, and back on topic, the admins aren't bad either.

Thanks, yours is gorgeous.
Keep it original paint and just use it.
And yes, there's very little cost in owning/using it.
