Hmm, since it's only the first minute or so, it almost seems like some high load perhaps. Though, in that case I wouldn't expect to see the button presses actually react on screen. At least, based on my running into those situations, usually no action is seen on screen and then it will catch up to itself. And if voice works, then it would seems like the messages are getting through to tune that way. Not sure.
