Surface rust on backseat hardware?

I was getting into the backseat storage and I noticed some surface rust on the hinge hardware. Also noticed the seat isn't exactly centered, since one side is more covered up than the other, but I'm not OCD enough to worry about that. The covered up side did have similar rust.

Anyone else noticed this issue? How should I handle it? Just slap some CLP on it and call it a day?

I ended up just putting some CLP on it an and wiped some of the rust off. I guess I'll just check on it from time to time.
