Another reason you might not many that are all kitted out is because certain aftermarket parts are either not available or hard to source for the cab configuration of the Scab. Things like nerf bars, fender flares, bolt-on roof racks, side window visors, rock sliders, bed racks, etc. If these things can’t be found, the truck is likely to stay stock in appearance.

I don’t think it’s inferior in anyway, if I’m not mistaken it’s the same exact truck except one has more seating space in the back and a 5’ bed and one has less space with a 6’ bed. It seems people prefer having a little more space for passengers or just like the look of a four door truck. I could be completely wrong but that’s what I understand. There’s a super cab love thread if you are looking for other modded super cabs specifically.
I dont even like the look of 4 doors trucks.. any trucks really.

Not for me either. Then again, I don't have any need to lug around two extra humans, just myself and another.

Screw looks better
To each their own for sure, I can see why people like the Screw. I liked the look of the scab, gave me more reminiscence of the old ranger with a touched up modernized style.

They are selling enough Scabs to justify them. They will sell even less of the 7' Bed single cab, but for the 6G model Ford will produce them. I am a Scab Guy a 5' bed makes no sense to me.
They have an advantage of being 200lbs lighter then the Screw. For the people thinking Ford will make a long bed Screw, there has been no evidence of a longer frame. Does not look like it will be offered. Scab has more room for gear in the bed to off road. If you wish to sleep in the bed while off roading its doable. Bears will be nibbling on your feet in the Screw.

My old rangers were mid 80s standard cabs. I don’t think there was a scab then
Reminiscence with the small no four door. Not exactly the old ranger but closer than a true four door looking type taco. That is what I was meaning. But like I said, I like both but love the Scab. I really don't care even if you had a jeep or taco on here.

Yup I barely fit with the camper shell taking away an an inch. But it’s nice to be able to sleep in the truck bed. My gf didn’t even go camping with me until I got the camper shell

If I had a Scab I just think it would look meaner with a 5' bed, lifted and larger tires. It might not be the most practical set up which is why Ford probably didn't produce it but it would look killer.
This exactly.

Think of how ungainly the Gladiator looks and how the proportions are all wrong.

Then look at this concept they built.

Impractical but looks sooooo much better.

While I'm dreaming I'll take that one with the 392 in it.

If that one were available I'd probably buy it.

SCABS doors are 5” longer so yes more access room. As the service industries jump in when availability allows you will see more of them. That is unless the Maverick takes that market share which I highly suspect. The mileage bump with those will be hard to beat. It’s all about the Benjamin’s when you’re in business.

I think four door trucks look silly. (It's cool if other people want them, but I don't.) I have a truck for hauling stuff, and a van for hauling people. Ford seems to be selling all the scabs they make, and probably won't make more because their profit margin is higher on the 4 door.
