Suggestions/ suspension products to improve Ranger ride and comfort

Still, it's good when it sparks new conversation about a topic that's had some aftermarket solutions appear since the original post.

ARB/OME also make a replacement leaf pack for the rear.

Unfortunately, it seems that all of the aftermarket choices also provide lift which is something I DON'T want.

I've pondered getting the ARB spring pack and removing some leafs but haven't bit the bullet yet.

I wish I would've jumped on the ROW springs that were so cheap for a while.

Hey, Todd, when you say thank "Icon," does that mean that you put their multi-rate leaf springs on your Ranger? Like you, I would have got the Tremor option in 2019 if that had had one back then, but I have since improved my Lariat's ride by putting in the Ford (Fox) Performance Leveling kit and changing out the stock Hankooks for Falkens. I am pretty well satisfied with the ride now but it is still rougher than I would like, and I am considering adding the Icon leaf springs to the mix. I would appreciate any advice that you (or other members) could give.

multileaf down the road but the current setup is working very well for me now. Rides 200% better than stock fx4 . Firm but controled, minimal body roll and brake dive.

Todd, thanks, I figured it was either Icon UCA or the multi-leaf springs. I am still hoping to hear from somebody who installed the multi-leaf springs and how things worked out. Your truck looks great and, as you say, rides great now too!

I have a 2022 XLT FX2 . These intermittent vibrations and the engine constanly feeling like it needs to be in a lower gear droaning at low speeds Is unbearable. Not going to try to fix something that’s not fixable.

Did you have to install extended sway bar links?

Nope, just the shocks and 1" blocks. But if I was to do it today I would upgrade the leafs instead of blocks. But the blocks gave me the stance/rake I wanted and do let me use the extra inch of shock travel the Eibach have over fx4 stock.

I bumped this since you posted about your Tremor spring swap addressing the ride quality in another thread. I would say that the 1/2 inch lift in the back is inconsequential.

I presume the Tremor springs provide equivalent load and towing capabilities?

The big takeaway is that more leafs = better ride. The downside is more suspension weight and potential for noise.

In my case I used the inexpensive Eibach front strut lift for a 1.25 lift. The truck isn't perfectly level but towing/hauling hasn't adversely given me problems.

Multi-leaf springs + better shocks in the rear seem like a solution.

Play with your tire pressure. With a new vehicle and/or new tires I always adjust the pressure.....its usually the culprit of a rough ride and the eventual wearing out of shocks. And with a pickup I always run lower pressure in the back. In my cars I've always settled on 32psi. Currently in my Ranger I have 32 in the front and 26 or 28 in the rear.

I have an FX4 but previously had a 2019 2WD. FX4 rides worlds better than the old one but I recently switched to Eibach Pro Truck at all 4 corners. Ride on the rough stuff was greatly improved and paved road handling got a little better.
