Anyone else noticed this? Look closely at the windshield and notice the random vertical streaks on the outside of the windshield. It's only noticable when the glass is wet or raining. What can I do to remove this? I've cleaned this windshield a bazillion times already:crazy:

Really looks like automatic carwash scum as I like to call it. Most likely the rinse cycle didn't do it's job properly and when the sun hits that you end up with a thin layer of the scum. There are some links out there for " the how to" clean it off if you google it. From using using common household items to going to a auto glass shop for windshield cleaner\polisher.

Use Citrol followed by a clay bar and I guarantee it'll be clean.

Unfortunately, most glass cleaners are only good for washing mostly-clean glass.

Rainx does a pretty good job of cleaning the windshield too.

Have you tried cleaning the inside of the windshield? A lot of times the gases from the interior will adhere to the glass and create a thin film.

I've had this issue from day one and have exhaustively cleaned inside and out...I do know it's not on the inside as it's only visible when the glass is wet and the wiper is sweeping across the surface...

Hmm, is is possible there was a laminate applied to your windshield? Like an anti-glare UV something or another?

I don't think so...I've used razor on the glass to scrape...curious no one else has this anomaly...

Try clay bar after a thorough cleaning, works great!

I had one vertical streak in my windshield that couldn’t be removed no matter what I tried. Take it to dealer and get them to have the factory rep look at it. I got mine replaced under warranty.
