Straightening a runner board

My wife took the truck out on a Starbucks run yesterday, and managed to clip the wrought-iron fence around their outdoor seating area. There's some minor scratches to the passenger doors, which I can take care of, but somehow she managed to hit the fence in such a way that the passenger-side runner board is now slanted downwards (away from the door). Posting pics of both the damaged passenger's side & undamaged driver's side for reference.

Has anyone dealt with this, and if so, what did you do? I'm pretty handy, but I'm no mechanic nor machinist, and I don't have access to that level of tools. Is this something that I can fix myself, or is this going to be the most expensive Starbucks run ever?

I don't have running boards myself, but I would take a look under the truck to see how they are mounted to the frame (body?). From your photos, the running board looks angled down evenly, suggesting that they may not be "bent" but just out of alignment. It may be possible to loosen the brackets and reposition the assembly. Or possibly where the bracket attaches to the board.

Those are not bolted on that well, if they bent down that easily then I would think a 2X4 and a jack would bend it back in place.

I'd be concerned that the brackets aren't bent, but that the bottom of the cab is bent where the brackets are bolted on...

As others said, take a look at the mount points (those are body mounted) and if they don't look too mangled up, just jack it back up into place.

Better solution is remove and buy some that bolt to the frame, but that would indeed become a more expensive Starbucks run.

No, she didn't bring me back anything except my mangled truck!
(To be fair, I was out of town when this happened)

Thanks everyone for the responses. I took a quick look underneath earlier, but didn't grab any pictures. I'll have a look again in the morning, and see if I can get some.

Here's the pics of the underside. The bolts seem to be solid & tight. I did notice that the paint on the mounts cracked, possibly when the mounts were bent?

Get a new runner board, and never waste money at starbucks.

Ask Levittown Ford for the part # and purchase the new mounts if available separately

Or get rock sliders, then she can hit all the fences she wants

Those brackets are done - order replacements. If you try to rebend them while on the truck, it'll likely do damage to the truck. It looks like it may have already rolled the bottom of the rocker but it's hard to tell.
