There I was minding my own business when a brand new Tacoma TRD 4x4 pulled up next to me at a stoplight. A 30ish year old guy points at my truck, laughs then shrugged his shoulders…

I started off normally but he seemed to floor so what the hey, I floored kept next him then my truck shifted are just pulled away..

The next stoplight he pulled up next to me again, I shrugged and smiled as he glaringly looks at me shakes his head, he nodded for a do over… So obliged him with the same results… he turned behind me because that’s where he ended up.

Roads were clear not residential so no guilt here..

I’m just trying to figure out why he wanted to mess with a 65 year old juvenile delinquent…

haha! I've not gotten the pleasure yet, but I did see a white XLT scab on a test drive a few days ago, and I sped up beside them but didn't get a chance to give a thumbs-up or anything before I turned off and they didn't see me.

I look forward to the day that someone wants to show their junk and then burn them. I am not 'that guy', but I still look forward to it, cause I can. Love me the ranger.

Oh, I forgot to add. I was out early voting and doing some stuff with my wife, and when we got back to the lot a woman walking by said "hey, nice ranger!" We chatted a few minutes about trucks and stuff, and she owns a 2003 ranger and her dad owned f150s, blah blah blah. It was nice. Never had anyone mention it before, but she said she noticed it immediately. Good day.

Did everyone standing at the side of the road that witnessed this break out in applause?
No but the Taco owner and passenger were spotted on his way back. ?

Nice. I will say, I've always enjoyed this truck and it's peppy motor, but ever since I installed my pedal commander, wow...... I feel like I'm driving a hot rod now. Instant power, no more lag. I dare a Taco to race me

Our trucks will absolutely destroy any Tacoma, hands down. I prove this point every chance I get, haha.
As well as rollin coal diesels with fart cans and tires 10 inches outside of fender...yep...not only beaten by a 4 banger Ranger but also a roof top tent, an awning and a shovel... ? ?

I have not gotten the chance to do this, but now im on 33s im not sure if i could take a taco from the dig haha i have not gotten a tune yet either. So i would probably get beaten by a stock taco or maybe stay right beside it. At least im not running E rated but still quite heavier than stock tires. In my eyes, running 33s are still worth it!

This is one reason I check the weight of every tire I consider. My little ranger is no rocket but with a 93 tune it's good enough to keep me from dropping cash on a V8 mustang (again). I'm looking at some 32"s (255/75/17) that weigh 41 lbs an I think that's pretty good. Standard load rating though which is fine with me for my use.
