Can you see it?lol
I need to carry a giant brand ladder up to my dads so the old mat from the Tacoma is going to have to work until I can find a place that has stock on a Ranger one.
I guess I could always just turn it upside down but I want a better all around fit anyways.
I used the bed mat from my 2016 Tacoma and it fit way better than that. lol I wonder if it's because I have the drop in liner and it takes up more room on the sides? The only thing I had to do was trim about 1/2" off the length but other than that the sides are almost a perfect fit. I hated to use anything from that truck on my Ranger but I'm just to2020. Quite a difference between models.
When you mention factory spray in, mine was done at dealer by TOFF. https://toffliners.com/ is that factory? Seems pretty damn durable.Yeah, I got the factory spray in and from what I gather it's not the best of the spray ins. I have a very old mat from my Toyota that I will use to help things from sliding, but obviously that won't completely fit.
I don't know for sure, but that's probably 3rd party. And when I said factory was less quality than 3rd party, it was based on a video I saw. When you mention factory spray in, mine was done at dealer by TOFF. https://toffliners.com/ is that factory?
Thanks Tom For the clarity.I don't know for sure, but that's probably 3rd party. And when I said factory was less quality than 3rd party, it was based on a video I saw.
In the video, it showed that factory, when being removed would come out in sheets. 3rd party they had to chisel out in 3 inch pieces. This is not to say that factory would just come off. I don't know that it would, or wouldn't. I don't think it would.
I have a factory spray in, and I don't worry about it. I only said that based on what I read.
Please don't take my comment as an authority.

I would bet it is the liner, they always have some “tolerance” on the sides. I like your term “frugal”. I am not afraid to spend a bucks so to speak but it has to be a “bang for the buck”. The Ford bed mat definitely goes against that line of thinking but it’s once and done and I did sell the Tacoma mat to recoup some of the cost.I used the bed mat from my 2016 Tacoma and it fit way better than that. lol I wonder if it's because I have the drop in liner and it takes up more room on the sides? I'm the exact same I will spend it but first I will research the item to death to make sure I'm getting the best bang for buck. Plus here most want everything for nothing so it wasn't worth my time trying to sell the Taco mat and it fit really well in there. I love them as they keep everything in place from sliding all over the bed.I would bet it is the liner, they always have some “tolerance” on the sides. I like your term “frugal”. I’ve since added my tonneau cover and I am calling it done! This truck takes me to WaWa to get coffee lol and tows my boat to the lake and will serve me well for many many years to come.
I put a damper on my tail gate took me a few days to get use to not catching the tail gate ??You can’t see it in the pic but I put one of those DeeZee tailgate dampeners on there as well today. Always like the tailgates controlled down. I don’t have young kids but I could imagine a young one being knocked in the head in the right situation.
Anyways, called the local dealer. He’ll have an OEM bed mat for me tomorrow. Can’t say I like the price but I do like the look of the OEM one.
