The male ego is one of life's great mysteries.
I've always lebeled people (and wrongfully so) by the brand of pickups they drive lol. A lot of times they prove me correct.

I feel bad ... I remember my Jeep days and the slow revving V6 it had. I don't even put it in sport mode, I let them take off and think they have won something.

Same here. I’m almost sixty and have owned some fast cars and I‘ve not once had someone try to race me at a red light. Takes two to tango I guess.

Also, enjoy it while you can. The new Taco 4 banger hybrid with 465 lb ft of torque will probably be quick off the line.

when I had the mustang in my pic, I would occasionally get someone that wanted to race from a light. I would just look at them and laugh while reving the supercharger up

So when I bought my Focus ST my lifelong buddy(Chevy guy) was making fun of my chic car. He drove a 80's Trans Am(stock). Well he got shocked when my chic car left his TA. Then we went for a ride on the twisties, well he no longer laughed about my chic car. ??
