Check Ground, - G200 and G202 for security, there are some splice points upstream of this, but this is an easy spot to check.

Plus- Define dash settings would reset, are you talking about layout of the left display.
Sync - You are losing all radio presets, climate settings etc - Correct.

I feel like the modern DIYer or Mechanic needs the skills of a network / computer tech and a network sniffer. It is now as much (or more) about Software/Firmware than Hardware.

Brings back memories of dinking with the Window Registry. I dumped Windoz 13 years ago for Linux Mint and haven't looked back.

• No more buying / leasing software or cloud based software.
• No more prying eyes into my computer, or tracking.
• No more virus worries or virus protection software.
• No more installing funky drivers to make hardware work

Linux simply works. Maybe Ford needs to move to Linux (halfway joking - they probably are basing the firmware on Linux). Ford certianly needs better software/firmware designers/developers.
