I've been watching this thread since I bought my 2020 Ranger because I felt the brake pedal was a bit spongy also. A few days ago I took it to the dealer to have the trailer brake controller adjusted and told them about the brakes. Today they called to let me know everything was good with the truck now that they bled the brakes and test drove it. Having read this whole thread, I will try the emergency brake "adjustment" on my next day off. I'm excited to see if bleeding the brakes actually worked.

My biggest complaint about the brakes is they are inconsistent. Sometimes they feel ok and other times I have to press the pedal in 3-4 inches before they engage. Sometimes they grab and other times they require a lot of pressure. I tried the ebrake trick but noticed no difference. I also feel a noticeable thud in the drivetrain when coming to a stop. Feels like the trans is downshifting but it is really annoying. Anyone else feel this?
