Does the 2.3 have a schrader valve on the fuel rail for cleaning the injectors?

I'm not sure ...but if you need to clean your injectors I have had excellent results with 505 CRF. It goes straight into the gas tank.

I had terrible injector issues in my 2005 Ranger 4.0L engine. Enough that I thought about replacing all of the injectors. Had 175K miles on the truck when I cured it, and I am now at 200K and the engine purrs.

I tried a half dozen of the best rated injector cleaning products and the only one that cured my issue was 505 CRF.

2 treatments of 505 CRF over 2 tanks of gas had the injectors working like new!

I run a bottle through all three of my active vehicles annually. Two are turbo direct injection engines.

Looking at the shop manual, I don't see a Schrader valve.

The fuel rail on the 2.3 ecoboost is running at over 1000 psi to accomodate the direct injection. The only place you could inject a cleaner is before the mechanical high pressure pump. Not sure is there is a place for that. I would just dump some cleaner in the gas tank.

No the Ranger does not have a Fuel Rail - Tap Port

So a direct connection is still possible as if the test port was incorporated but you have to use the kit adaptor that comes with the Fuel Pressure Test Gauge, this is a tapped connection between the fuel supply line and HP Pump and then use that (Tap) to connect the injector cleaner tank / bottle.
I like (when doing this) to get a direct connection and a 50/50 mix of fuel and cleaner vs tank additives.

I have not yet performed this service on the Ranger as I am just over 20K, but I have performed this on various other vehicles, the key is setting up the air compressor regulator to match what the LP pump is providing (PSI) 45-60 PSI and disable the LP Fuel Pump and let the engine run on that 50/50 mixture under the regulated air compressor pressure.
I made my own - Cleaner Tank out of PVC Pipe - years ago, I like to pressure test it prior to putting any fuel in it - just to be sure its still good after sitting on the shelf for long periods of non use.

But with the above, I have not performed this on a turbo engine, in theory it will still work but I would have to play with it and figure out if having the LP Pump disabled, will it also stop the engine from running as the Ranger has a fuel pump module for control.
So if that's the case = then possibly disconnect the fuel line from the HP Pump and cap it off and then do the cleaning service.

The manuals do not cover this service, it can be done but IDK how the shops tap in to perform it.
Its all about the pressure difference in the fuel supply to get the system to take the tank cleaner fluid before the fuel tank supply to get the full 50/50 mix into the fuel rail if you want the best results.
So a possibility of increase the tank pressure just slightly over the LP Pump Pressure and or use Bi-Directional control of the LP Pump.

With all the ones I have done, I would just let it run till the engine dies - tank empties, roughly about 15 minutes.

Anyway, just wanted to point out, it can still be done - just have to play with the set-up to do it on this turbo engine with the HP Pump.
If I still was in the profession I would have a more direct answer as I would be using the shops service kit more often on various engine types vs my home built kit that has been used about 8 times I think in the last 20 years, since I made it.- all older vehicles (non-turbo)

With todays advanced scan tool technology you can use the:
Injector Flow and or Cylinder Balance Tests to view a under performing injector, so a before and after test result can be compared - to visually see if the cleaning service made a difference.

Correct - so you must tap into the LP Fuel feed line before the HP Pump.
After the HP Pump - Fuel Pressure can be as high as 2,900 PSI in the rail
