I paid a few hundred extra cuz I bought it through AFIRM but I had it paid off in 6 months. It isn't cheap. $1700 was too big for a single bite and I'm too impatient to wait. BUT,,, Linkswell is a US based company that offers REAL support. Meaning, you don't have to contact them on "China time". Check their install on YouTube. I watched it while doing my install.



I may add some YouTube videos I made when I used to be on Facebook groups (search Linkswell if you're on Facebook). They have 2 great pages on Facebook.

This was one of my 1st upgrades and I love it almost as much as the Hp I've added. I hated Sync3. Always had connection issues. I also hated that Ford was making my '22 look "dated" by putting big screens in all the new Rangers.. Those dicks ! So now,,, my screen is bigger. ? Side note: Ford has pissed me off before. A dealer in Florida screwed me on a 2006 Shelby GT500 deal. So,,, I went to Roush and asked them to build me a supercharged car that could smoke any stock GT500 on the road. I broke a lot of hearts with that car.

All steering wheel buttons function the same. The HVAC works the same and can be controlled on screen or with the hard buttons at the bottom of the unit. The volume / mute can be controlled by the buttons on the wheel or by the knob at the bottom of the unit. The improvement in audio quality in mind blowing ! It has an actual built-in DSP. My electronics guy LOVES it. I have a $3500 speakers/subs/amps upgrade coming soon. My installer says that built in DSP makes things much easier to install and the Linkswell has all the necessary connections.

The screen is larger than what Ford is putting in the new Rangers. And way more vibrant and way more customizable. It's a huge Android tablet that can run damn near any App from the Google Play Store. I can watch live TV and movies any time, any place. I watch college football games when I'm at work on Saturdays. I have Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+, Paramount+, Netflix, Plex, Prime Video... This thing is amazing !

I'm an AndroidAuto guy but the Apple stuff works too. I can make the UI anything I want it to be. I like my speedometer to show on the Linkswell (perfectly accurate) and my Avg. MPG as my main display on my guage cluster.

As for the install. I did it in the dark, in my driveway, freezing my ass off, in the rain, while watching the YouTube video. I was terrified because this is not within my skill set. But,,, I nutted up, bought a trim removal tool, and tackled the SOB. It took 3 hours and I F'd up the connection for the backup camera. But everything else worked fine. Linkswell customer service helped me diagnose my F-up and told me how to fix it... which meant total disassembly and reassembly. I tore it apart, fixed the backup camera connection, and slapped it all back together in less that an hour. Experience and lack of fear matter... My only bitch is, the parking sensors lack the image Ford superimposes on your screen when approaching an obstacle. The parking sensors still sound off,,, just no on-screen visual to show which sensor is being triggered. Sad but not a deal breaker because everything else is such an improvement.

Since I've installed it I have had zero problems. A lot of people hate these things because they buy the cheaper shittier Chinese models on Ebay and Amazon. Those units are ?

And,,, the trim bezel around the screen made the perfect mounting location for my Switch Panel.
