Removing vent panels

hey everyone - I know you’re supposed to be able to pull these off with a plastic pry tool right? I tried but I’m honestly scared I’ll break this. Can someone provide guidance on how to remove. Thanks in advance!

They flex to an alarmingly degree but they will pop off.

I can use my fingers whilst grasping the top and bottom "tabs" and yanking back toward me.

Edit: asking about the vents/frame or the accent trim pieces?

Any differences with 2023 Lariat Tremor? I bought the damn toolset and fought with the thing for 30 minutes no joy. Tight as ...well you what. Suggestions?

Are you trying to remove the vent or the whole panel?
The vent / panel is an assembly and is removed as such.

Just the vents on both sides of the nav screen. I picked up 2 of those Course Motorsports phone mounts. I looked at their install and the one here. Both are the same. "Pop right out" is not working for me.

You have to pull the whole panel; the clips are on the backside of the panel.

If I were to try that I see broken clips. Never have any luck with that type stuff.
