Redarc brake controller.

Hi all and happy Easter , your thoughts on
The redarc elite brake controller for my
19 , it’s prewired with the yellow, white, violet,
And heavy blue, looks pretty simple to
Install watching the tech install it in a 19 and
All while warning texts popping up saying it
Wont fit, go figure . Anyway, your thoughts ?

It will work - you just will not have the AEB tie in that the now discontinued Ford branded version did.
If AEB triggers the TBC will not see it and the Ford version does - however it was discontinued and no longer available.

The Ford branded version is the Redarc Elite plus another module (Lumen) that picks up the brakes applied signal from the CHMSL instead of the brake pedal. When AEB is activated the brake lights are also activated - that’s the difference

I have the non-AEB version of the Redarc and it works fine. I followed the eTrailer installation video and it looks like it was factory installed.

I installed the tow pro liberty in December following the e-trailer video and found it easy enough. Make sure to have a Dremel as you will have to remove a good amount of the plastic corrugation if you install near the shifter and transfer case shifter.

You'll need the pigtail - an additional cost - with either.

The liberty is the on road, two axle max version of the elite.

Have Redarc on my '21. Fit and works great.

The elite and liberty should be the same form factor. It just comes down to what features you need - see this comparison.
