rear shock lengths

i installed rear eibachs (doing fronts tomorrow)
and eibach says these increase travel some. side by side they dont look any longer, maybe a 1/4”?

my dumbass didnt take measurements of stock fx and eibachs before install.

anyone know the numbers?

side note- rear is way more controlled now. rebound feels similar to my tacomas’ 5160s.

I'm not sure what length the Eibachs are but to my understanding they will allow an extra inch of lift in the rear. With that said shocks alone will not give more travel. You usually have to do things like replace the springs. The front you might gain but then again you probably still have the factory springs so no promises. To gain travel with lift in the rear you would need to replace the leaf springs or just the shackles but for best results a replacement spring is the way to go. Before you did all of this i wish you would have done some more searching as Old Man EMU provides lift and travel on all 4 by replacing the shocks and springs and the upper control arm does not nees to be replaced in order to get the alignment into specifications.

i have 2.0 coilovers so new springs there. i know all about springs and so forth, i wasnt going down that rabbit hole with this truck. i did all that with my tacomas and older rangers. i also have quite a bit of experience with ome aswell. i was not impressed with ome on toyotas- their leafs sag out in 6 months regardless of what load you get, coils sag out, and their shocks (fronts) knock on full droop. i would like to think they are better on a ranger but they left a bad taste in my mouth and wallet. (i have had many toyotas and experimented with many brands.
my eibachs i lowered at 1.5” of lift so i had zero issue with alignment.

im just curious how eibach is saying they can handle an extra 1” lift when ext and compressed is the same as stock.
these newer rangers are different than im used to.
