Trying to find what should be simple information about this truck is something infuriating.

1. I have to run a new ground wire all the way to the front or into my cabin?

2. I have to splice into a factory ground line in the rear?

Why am I having no luck in finding one single damn grounding point I can connect a new harness to? Ive put my test line on about every non-painted connection point I can come up with.

Hi Jack,

Maybe use the bed power point connector behind the left rear wheel clipped to the frame?

Excellent suggestion. Thank you.

I tapped into this to power/ground a switched-controlled dome light in my Leer topper and ground the topper's CHMSL. Works like a charm.

Cheers.

Anyone know if this point would work for my roll bar lights? I have a load of over 30 Amps if all lights are on.

I tried dilling the frame and broke off two tek screws in the process, so am looking for a good point.

Is the bed itself grounded well? could I drill and tap on the wall or even the pillar at the front of the bed?
