I am considering putting a set of the Ranger Raptor wheels on my 2020 Magnetic SuperCrew 4x4. I am sticking with the 265/65R17 Yokohama Geolander AT G015 tires that I just put on.
Can anyone tell me where the extra 1/2" of width is, toward the inside or outside? I do not want to run wheel spacers.
Also, can anyone post photos of these wheels on a Magnetic Ranger?

The Ranger Raptor wheel lists a 55mm offset which is the same as the 17" wheels on the Ranger. So the extra 1/2" should go outboard.

Thank you NvrFinished,
That is good news. The clearance between the tire and spindle should not change.

The offset is measured from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting surface. If the wheel is 1/2” wider with the same offset then it would stick out 1/4” more on the outside and also 1/4” to the inside.

I meant to reply to your post with the information I posted above. You would lose 1/4” of clearance on the inside.

Fullscale, Thank you for the clarification. I might have to re-think this because I don’t know if I would want any less clearance than I already have.

Yep, Adam is 100% correct. I had backspacing stuck in my head for some reason and not offset.

Yes, the same offset, but 1/2" wider.
That means the tire will be 1/4" closer to the knuckle.

No lift, no rubbing .. a 1/4" spacer would probably give a perfect fit to the eye, but I'm very happy with the look as it sits.

The 255/70 is taller, but the 265/65 is still wider and I will not be using spacers.

Is there anyone running the Ranger Raptor wheels with FX-4 size (265/65x17) tires without a spacer? I would just like to know how much space there is between the tire and aluminum knuckle.

The Raptor wheel only extends inboard by 1/4". You should not have any problems. In fact, the 2021 Ford Performance Package options for the Ranger just announced by Ford include Raptor wheels.
