Rangers in SNOW

I am liking only going with 4 pails of sand (approx 220 lbs), position further forward in the bed. I am still getting good traction and the truck feels more nimble. We have snow, but not as much as other years.

Besides a couple of blah pictures of the Ranger on my drive home, is a picture of me from 5 years ago, on this date, after using the snow blower.

That's one of the reasons I've thought of getting them, yeah. But after so many years in vehicles without running boards I've gotten used to just hopping into the seat and clapping me feet together before bringing them inside the truck. Just habit now so I'm not sure I would ever use them that way in the end. But definitely a good idea.

There is plenty of crud around here, yeah. The truck pretty much looks like this all year round. haha It's either dirt, mud, and/or sand in the summer, or sand, salt, and/or snow in the winter. That's why I find not much point in washing it or trying to keep it clean since it gets dirty so easy and often. I'll wash the salt off in the spring when it gets warm enough, but other than that not much washing. haha

I had a girlfriend once who got in my ’96 XLT and knocked the snow off her boots by banging the heels against the rocker panel. Like I said, “I had a girlfriend once”.

With a grand total of 300km I can't say I like the Hankooks. Many complained
about them & I figured it was just driving style but not so sure anymore. I need
more time. I did notice tonight when I was on the highway when I drifted
a little & corrected the steering, for a half second, did not respond, like I was on ice
or the electric steering was 'loose'. Loose as it move a touch but nothing happened.
The other day as I was doing 80km/h, most others were at 70k, the truck slid at least
1 foot or maybe 2 to the right for no apparent reason. 2cm of snow, none on the road, no salt yet, so maybe ice, -5c. It just felt like I was on air. I have to say I have nothing in the bed yet, made a box today, and it's been 20 yrs since I drove rwd in snow.

Time will tell.

About the steering issue, I think it was the lane keeping system after more
driving, just getting acquainted with the truck, only 400km so far.

Check the tire pressure. Many on this forum lament the fact that their dealerships didn't adjust the pressure from the factory. Some say the factory set the pressure at like 45psi when it should be closer to 30 or 32.

We had snow and cool temps at the end of October and into Nov. Now its low snow conditions here and none in the forecast.....

No new snow here for at least a week. We have about a foot on the ground. We do have cold weather here, but still catching fish.

LT tires & door says 38psi. All good. I need more time with it. My wife is driving it more
then me & now with the lock down & curfew..... ain't much driving going on.
