took a short trip the other day, listening to a playlist from my cell phone, like I usually do. mid way through the trip, I hear a pop, then the sound turns off.

I pulled off the road, and when I fiddled with my radio, I see the "radio"button is grayed out. I go to setup, "sound" is grayed out. nothing connected to the audio part of the radio is working. Android Auto works for directions (no sound -- just visuals on the screen)

got home, shut the truck off, and figured I'd look at it the next day. Go out to the truck, start it up, everything is normal like nothing happened. Radio worked fine for a month or two, then, it happened a second time, and reset the next morning (I'm guessing that when the radio got powered off, it reset itself and started fine.

any clues for anything I should look for? I doubt its a fuse (once they blow, they don't reset themselves). are there circuit breakers in there somewhere? My sync indicates it's up to date, but I didn't get the software update regarding the backup camera issue)

thanks in advance

I would scan for DTC codes and see if there are any related to the radio.

Sounds like a similar thing to my friend’s 2013 Flex. You might be looking at having to replace the audio control module soon.

Yes- scan for codes - if B&O system is most likely the DSP (Amp) or ACM - as its affecting all audio front and rear -
Question? - Do you still have (Chimes) when it does this?

Over the last two years I have had a few glitches related to the radio, more than once I have had that but after a restart or time it comes back...
check and see if you have the latest Ver. of software update
