I’d like to try my hand at forescan but watching some of the videos it looks like it’s more trouble than it’s worth for what I would use it for. Maybe one day.

Is it the price or the thought of bricking your truck if you mess something up that’s got you on the fence about it? I think the price of a cable and the 10$ subscription was worth it to make the changes I wanted. And I had zero experience in any type of “coding”. It was actually more user friendly than I thought it was going to be thanks to the Wiki we have here.

Yeah price isn’t the issue at all. That’s a great deal. Just afraid I’ll mess something up or my older computer will crash in the middle of something.

AFAIK as long as you save all your original settings before making any changes you can always change it back to factory settings easily. I don’t know the age or state of your computer/laptop or how it can affect the process so that’s not something I can really comment on but from what I’ve read you do want a stable connection.
