The rubber bushing on the link needs to be trimmed about 2mm to get the pins to fit and the steering knuckle hole is slightly too small and needs to honed out. I also don't think the swaybar link itself is long enough unless you have at least a 1.5" lift or so.
Mine's a 2.5" level...would that work for me? When you say trim bushing, you mean the thickness, right? And the knuckle hole...I haven't looked in a while but is this in the upright?

2.5 level will definitely work. this is the hole that needs to get drilled out. And yes it's the width of the rubber bushing on the swaybar link that needs some trimming.

sorry to revive an old thread like this, I'm looking into getting some quick disconnects, and I'm looking at the autolynx kit for the jeeps with an 8" stroke. any reason why those wouldn't work on the Ranger platform with a 3.5" lift, or would these work better to disconnect them and take the bar completely out. I liked the autolynx kit becuase the bar is essentially a shock that is kept in place, you rotate the upper knob and itll extend but stay in place. When you're done, you just rotate the knob back and lift the sway bar to lock it back in place.

yeah its pricey, if we have to go with the removable option, is there anything else needed to strap up the sway bar while its disconnected to keep it from angling down and getting caught on stuff, or pinched?

If you have a lift you can use wrangler jku adjustable swaybar links with minor modifications. I bought these off Amazon and only needed to shave a little off the rubber bushing and drill out the steering nuckle a tiny bit.

Hell yea! Glad I came across this today as it was resurrected the other day.

I have the 3.5" RC lift and my end links are popping so I am looking to upgrade. What changes are supposed to be made to the links when you install a lift? If I order these Jeep end links, how do you measure and set the correct length?
Thanks a ton

I apparently had an issue with my drivers side link popping off. All I have is the Ford/Fox 2.0 leveling kit. My dealer claimed they popped off because I lifted the truck. Is this true or was it something to do with how the dealer installed them? I didn't think the 2.0 kit needed extended links.

I didn't even have any idea replacing the links could be needed. I have the 3.5" lift from RC. What links are we supposed to use?

@Dpardy97 how have those jeep links worked out for you? I am not too stoked on having to drill the steering knuckle but the affordability of those links is very enticing

It specifically says for the Ford Fox 2.0 kit that no modifications are required...I still don't understand why the link on my drivers side popped off.

I realize this was a few months back, but having just swapped my links out and gotten a good look at the factory links...

My bet is it popped off because they're garbage. Cheaply constructed with small diameter steel shafts and plastic ball joints housings.

Do you really NEED them? Doubtful, but if you do a lot of road driving on windy roads it might be a good plan, I dunno.

Factory on the right vs aftermarket left, I was looking at these to see if there was a way to make them QD or something. Gotta say you won't find me altering a $320+ steering knuckle to make a $40 QD sway bar link work ?
