That does seem nontrivial...
By purchasing separately, I meant through the dealer and having them add it to a custom non-Lariat factory order. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they are willing to do that. I'm curious about the poster that was able to order it...

Just to update the thread, the dealer says that PBS (I'm assuming they can only speak for north america) is not available as a separate option in 2021.

I'm not certain what that other earlier post was referring to, about ordering it separately as an option (without ordering Lariat).

When I went looking for my Ranger, my dealer did not have any lariats in stock and the Lariats price for the options I wanted priced me out, so I went with the XLT thinking I could get used to not having PKE or PBS. Well not having both sucks.
I have successfully installed a Push button Start purchased from Amazon and I installed it and it works. How reliable only time will tell.

Only for the factory. Afternarket not that tough

Good to hear aftermarket PBS can work well.

Has anyone installed aftermarket passive keyless entry?

It seems like it would at least need new door handles with sensors.
