With your Last Line of Defense Racks on there do you think you could haul some eight-foot lumber with the rear hatch open and the wood sticking over closed the tailgate? Hopefully, I am explaining right. How hard is the Diamond to remove if you wanted to carry something bigger/taller?

I'm guessing you could but would have to try it out and see how much clearance there is...sorry but I don't have any 8' lumber though. The hatches themselves are advertised as being very easy to take on/off in under 30 minutes. Having installed it myself, I believe that. If you're just taking the hatch off, that's like a 2 minute job to slide them off. To remove the center support bar which is secured by 4 C-clamps, would take a few more. Getting them back on should be just as quick as long as you've marked where they go so you don't need to spend time re-aligning the assembly. Hope that makes sense. If not, there's tons of Youtuber showing what I'm talking about:)

FedEx and UPS out here are no better. They all regularly shut down delivery service for even a forecast of snow, and just today I’ve a package from Fedex that’s getting held until tomorrow because of winds between me and the city.

True but in my experience, that's rare compared to the frequency of Amazon's new disastrous delivery services (their newest satellite is 10 miles from my home)...since they've started their own shipping, about 20-30% do not show up and had to be reordered or didn't meet delivery date...I dread everytime I see it's "on the way" again...:puke:

Power connected...cables run under the seals allows the hatch to open normally...I can still remove the entire hatch by quick disconnect Deutsch connectors... still too light out for aiming...

Let there be light! Sorry for the blown out pics but I think my iphone's found it's limit...I could barely aim the phone while being blinded LOL...reminds me of something from Spielberg's Close Encounters...especially when I had them all in flash mode:shock: That about gave me a epileptic seizure :giggle:
