Technically if would be WPF  .

Anyone have it done? Any downsides to it, like deterioration or visibility issues? I would think it would be beneficial for off roading on especially gravel roads and out traveling with a group. I got Zurich coverage when I bought my truck, which I'm sure is expired by now lol, I'll have to check. But with the cost of windshields these days, and how they are always on back order 🙄, any added protection is welcomed.

I've never heard of PPF/WPF for a windshield. I mean a rock is a rock and PPF isn't that thick so I can't see it stopping it from cracking or breaking. Maybe scratches or smaller stones it'll work keeping it protected better?

One thing nice here in AZ (and back in MA) is that glass was covered 100% with a zero deductible. I've used it many times and have had Safelite out to the job site on more than one occasion. lol

True, that's why I was asking. Our tint guys install it when requested so I was just curious if anyone has done it. I saw an IG clip not too long ago where some "off roaders" were peeling it off so show how there was no damage to their windshields, but I don't believe everything I see on social media lol.

I know several who have tinted their windshield on the inside, which it totally illegal btw but never the outside. Unless there's something out there that has super reflective powers against rocks I can't see this working on anything large but maybe there is. lol

You mean everything on the internet isn't true

I'm all for using the ceramic "tint" on the inside for UV and heat protection as long as it's not tinted, just clear.

I don't see how that won't get scratch to shit every time you run the wipers.
And modern cars already block 90 percent or more of UVA/UVB.
