2019 Lariat with the awkwardly located window folding button: Is there a way to program the window to fold on key off, and fold-out with key/ACC on? seems silly to have to remember to hit the button to fold them BEFORE YOU HIT THE STOP BUTTON.

1963 Mercury Montcalm with the "Breezeway" roll down rear window. It would be cool on a Ranger!

The idea behind folding mirrors is to fold them in before entering close quarters, a residential garage or tight parking space. You would want them to remain folded when leaving the area, not open again when the ignition is switched on.
But if you really want them to automatically fold/unfold, a dealer can probably program the BCM to do that.

You can't program anything. These are not connected to any modules. Just a switch.

That's exactly how I use them. Gotten in the habit of hitting the switch when I turn down the lane towards my normal parking spot at work, that way by the time I'm turning into the space they have just finished folding in. Once you get into the habit of using it as routine anytime you're about to pull into a parking space or tight area, it just becomes second nature. But if you (speaking to OP) really want it to happen like you want, there is the module that others have mentioned here.

Guess we need sensors to look for objects, then auto fold mirrors. Or design a car to auto drive and avoid objects.
Oh, wait, that would be a Tesla!

If your mirrors are folded in and you press the mirror "fold" button after turning the ignition off, the mirrors will unfold the next time you start your truck.

I know that I have read that thread and it works, the problem is I pull into a spot turn off the engine then remember to fold in the mirrors. I'm coming out of a Grand Cherokee that filed in and out automatically and tilted down when reversing, so I am spoiled.
