Yeah, it's a solid truck but man - that's nuts. The stock factory side steps do work pretty good as sliders. I wouldn't trust them for anything hard core, but they do just fine on their own.
So I posted about this on a thread I created. Bronco shares a ton with ranger the m210 has same dimensions as m190 just with a 8.8 ring instead of a 7.5 ring also for about 1500 you can order the complete axle with either 3.90, 4.30 or 4.70 gears.
Yeah, but if you do that, you need to regear the front as well - you can't just do one axle at a time. It would make more sense just to pickup a junkyard e-locking diff and swap it in directly.
Yea do plan on building so sliders but was rather impressed by side steps at one point I did have truck weight on em and they didn't get so damaged and for sure saved my rockers
No you didn't understand that's front. There is currently no regear options for the front m190. Which if you're 4wd it makes it possible to regear your rear which isn't possible right at this moment. Also you would have to change to bronco arms and cvs but still would be price point of the arb and you'd gain travel by about 2 inches
I mean, doesn't really matter if it's front or rear though, if you go to anything other than 3.73 - you need to re-gear the other axle as well. That's no longer a terribly cheap endeavor, especially since our trucks don't really gain much from a re-gear given the 10sp we have.
That is what I was saying though as a 4x4 it's a great option economically speaking considered you'd gain locker a beefier differential and the availability to match front and rear. Mind you I get 11 miles per gallon with 34s a regear in my opinion would help that a lot

Eh - for what it is, our rear diff is more than sufficient and capable, unless you're truly building a rock crawling rig you're not going to gain much for the effort involved in the swap.
Yea I've never gotten over 19 even when fully stock thats doing cruise control at 65 never hit above 20s. Throwing 34s hurt it that much, but for me again the locker, extra travel, gearing at less cost than a full on long travel kit from rpg well thats a win.
You need to get that MPG issue figured out. I have a level and 32s and got 27 MPG from home to work today (45 minutes of combo city and highway).

some of the "roads" here dont get traveled for weeks, maybe months, and the jungle takes them back. drive this for a mile or two and you can find a lifestime supply of banana spiders and praying mantis on the hood at the picnic spot.
