Possible to change button functions?

I'd like to be able to change the function of one of the steering wheel buttons, specifically the one in the middle of the audio controls, with the music note symbol on it. Currently this button changes audio sources or cycles through radio presets (I think), which is not at all useful to me. I only ever use the audio source from my phone, and I'd love it if this button could be used to pause the audio. Would it be possible to remap this button to play/pause using something like forscan?
