On mine, the voice that speaks for the navigation, etc. stutters REALLY badly. It stops in the middle of words and starts back up after half a second or so.

Did you check to see if there was a Sync upgrade for you? Mine is on Sync3 V3.3 and it doesn't do anything odd.

Can always try a master reset also if there aren't any sync 3 updates.

Old thread, but FYI in case others run into this... This can happen specifically on Nav units with the latest radio running v3.3. Non-Nav isn't hit by this as it doesn't have Travel Link data. It's essentially eliminated already in newer software, but it hasn't rolled back into v3.3, at least as of yet. So, good news/bad news.

So is this something that will be fixed or have we already hit car manufacturer abandonment?

You’d get it as either part of some future v3.3 or v3.4 (see Escape, Explorer) drop. It’s a when vs. an if scenario. I’ll update the thread once I know an update is out that addresses it.
