I did my first hauling of a couple hundred pounds of wood. WOW. That in proved the ride just like you guys said. After unloading the wood went to menards and bought 6 walls blocks at 28# each . Super perfect. Placed them in the bed directly over the axle

I always test drive before I buy, and did the same with the Ranger. I've bought quite a few Fords from my local dealer, so they just throw me the keys to whichever I want to test. I have a route that has interstate, rural highway, 2 lane rural street, and those unavoidable pot holes city streets. I took the Ranger on that route. I had heard the complaints about the rocky, and side to side movement of the Ranger so a test drive was a must. What I found was that it seems the so called "expert" reviewers needed something bad to say about the Ranger, and they seized on a natural occurrence of a short wheel base truck, then blew it out of proportion. My test drive showed me a truck that was quiet as a graveyard, that rode and drove great for the truck style, was extremely comfortable, and quick when you gave it the gas. There was none of the over hyped movements reported by those smarter than us reviewers. When I returned my sales guy had a sell price ready that I found acceptable. So, I signed the order form, and now I'm waiting for the truck to arrive. I guess what I'm trying to say is for a person to see for themselves, and not believe that person that gets paid to review a vehicle. Most of the time they compare apples to oranges anyway.

Since everyone is nitpicking, to me the factory shocks are too weak. Causes too much floatiness but you do get a smoother ride. I plan on changing to a shock that is slightly stiffer.

Other than that: Drives great, shifts great, handles great. Don't know what everyone is goin off about. Maybe I am just too easily pleased.

There ya go bud. I've always said, "Set your expectations low. That way you're not as disappointed."
:rockon::cool:

Like you I'm not hard to please. And I try to not expect something I know isn't there.
