Just another thread idea... I know many of us probably were previous Ranger owners.... Show me your old/past Rangers! Here's mine... 1999 XLT 4x4, 2011 Sport 4x4 and my current 2019 Lariat 4x4...

My brother and his 1992 Ford Ranger. Same age as him. This was his vehicle for HS and college, before it eventually rusted out so bad it was unsafe (i.e. the floor beneath the driver was very holey and the seat belt was no longer attached at the base, among other things). Hopefully I can find some more pictures of it.

My dad also had a same generation 1989 Ford Ranger when we were kids. Supercab in a lighter blue with a topper. Maybe I can find some pictures of that somewhere too.

My grandpa has had many Rangers over the years as well. Currently has a 4g one. So we've been a Ranger family since they came out.

Hi Folks,

My little base model 2007 Ranger hooked up and ready for another adventure following dutifully behind our Motorhome.

I do not think I have any photos, but I had a gently used 1991 (red, regular cab) and a brand new 2000 (black, regular cab). Someone ran a light and totaled the first and I had to get rid of the second when my oldest was born.

I don't have any pics of mine (that I can find) but I owned a 2004 Sonic Blue Edge and I loved it. It was my first new vehicle I ever bought. I ended up giving it to my dad after a few years and getting a 2004 F-150, which I traded in for my current 2019 Ranger Crew Cab.

My dad still drives the ranger, though it's starting to show its age. :)

My 2005 shortly before I sold it - it was a good truck I had for 14 years - since new:

I did the same thing... I gave my 2011 to my dad!

I've only ever owned and drove Rangers. These were last old gens I had before trading all for the 2019.

My '88 STX roughing it then towing my first trailer, with a bonus pic of my mom. They would often meet me with their RV.

I also had a 2000 Ranger (which I don't have a photo of) and a 2002 Ranger - here is my 2002 with a bunch of Boy Scouts when we did a biking trip to the San Juans. It was a good truck but I did have two weird things go wrong:
  1. At one point it put itself into 4 low and wouldn't take itself out - the switch said 2 high but it was in 4 low. I had to have a flatbed come and tow it to the dealer - it was some electronic part that flaked out.
  2. We were on a boy scout trip when I was loaded up with gear and we were going up a 4WD road - I wanted to put it into 4high, but it wouldn't engage. I did end up making it up the hill, but I spun my tires a lot. We were just about at the top of the hill and it FINALLY decided to go into 4 high. I think that happened shortly before #1.
Here is a photo of it towing the trailer full of bikes while we were waiting for the ferry ride:

This is my second Ranger, a 2003 Edge I bought new October of 2002. Traded it in when I bought my 2019. I do not have pictures of my first Ranger, a 1998 white XL single cab 2.5l with a 5 speed manual,
totaled, then I purchased the 2003 to replace it.

My first and only other Ranger was a 2000 Super cab in Grey Metallic. It had the 4.0L + automatic and was 2WD. But I have worked on and maintained literally hundreds of Rangers in my employer's fleet thru the years beginning in 1990 until I retired in 2018.

1998 XLT 2.5L 5-Speed. Ford needs to bring this color back!

Still own this truck. It was the DD, sits under a cover now living the always-clean-only-driven-on-nice-days-life. Plans to rebuild the engine one day.

This rig only has 135k miles on it. Not for sale either.?

I still own my old one, 2000 xlt 4.0, auto.
I bought it a little over 3 years ago with 234,000 with a blown motor. Put a new crate motor in and about 20,000 miles later put a new tranny in. Currently have 265,000 on the 2000 and 9,300 on the 2019.

had a 2002 2WD Edge 3.0 5 speed ex cab in blue. was a fun little truck. the jump seats were ridiculous to get into though with only 2 doors. I miss the 5 speed.
