Hey all, just curious on if my truck has the park assist system? My truck is a lariat with the 300A package so no adaptive cruise control. I wanted to get the new Ford performance bumper so are the 4 sensors in the bumper the park aid/park assist? I saw someone post that only park assist comes with ACC so I called my local dealership and they couldn’t give me a solid answer

Park assist is not tied to ACC. If you have the sensors, you prob have the copilot 360 which gives you park assist.

Copilot 360

Just so you know that bumper has been "in the works" for about 2 years. Chances of you ever seeing it in the real world are low IMHO.

I don't think North American Rangers are equipped with Park Assist where Ranger parallel parks itself. The current system is Park Assist 2.0.

Local dealership said “there’s a couple in Arizona, priced at $1800” ?

Oh my bad, 500a
Just fyi. The sensors in the bumper are called proximity sensors for park assist. That's all they do. But do work well when in back up mode and cross traffic appears out of nowhere.
I have the xlt with 302a which came standard with that package at the time.
ACC was an option.

Ahh, ok thank you. Proximity sensors, that makes sense :like:

I'd love to see real pics if you can get one. Pricey, sure. But one of the better looking options possibly, from what I can tell from the shitty marketing photos.

This is as close to “real” as I can find, and like previously mentioned I don’t think we’ll actually see the bumper or if we do it’ll be a while. Last pic is of a rough country bumper which is $900 or so and seems to be the closest matching to the Ford bumper IMO

Yes, seen those pics I believe.

And I totally agree with you on the RC Bumper. I recently considered it after being forced to do some front end work.

In the end I opted to keep the stocker. My truck is White Platinum Metallic and I REALLY like it's Magnetic Grey bumpers. Anything aftermarket would have to be repainted for me. My last Ford was WPM and black, really like the subtle difference the grey makes. I'm, on my truck at least, over the Storm Trooper, or Panda look.

Easy to tell if your truck has parking sensors. Look at the bumpers. They're little round dots.

All they do give you an indication how close you are to something. They beep and they put a graphic on the dash with green/orange/red indicators providing distance to the object.
