Hi, I am new to this Forum, thanks for adding me. I have had a Bronco on order/reservation for 13 months. Issues have delayed this order again and again, likely for 6-12 more months. I am tired of waiting and am considering ordering a Cyber Orange 2021 Ranger Lariat Tremor decked out. For those that have ordered; what is your Dealer giving you for a delivery estimate? If you did order and receive a 2021; how long did it actually take? For those in the know; has the MAP Factory had issues with delays, lack of parts, etc.? The Tremor is a beautiful and capable truck.....I just do NOT want to order one and have a repeat of the same issues I am already dealing with. Do you think I am ordering to late to get a 2021 built and delivered by years end? Thank you all for the responses, appreciate it.

Howdy and welcome!

I hear you about the Bronco wait and considering a Ranger. I had a similar concern and ordered a Ranger Tremor (Rapid Red Lariat) while I was waiting. Turns out my Bronco was built and shipped out after I ordered the Tremor. But, I decided to keep the Tremor order as well.

Ordered on 6/23, received VIN about a month later, and the build is scheduled for 8/18 (tomorrow!!!!). I figure it will be 2-3 weeks of transit after production. So, probably get my truck around Labor Day. Key to this timeline was negotiating with the dealership to set the priority of my order and find out if there are any allocation limitations or other issues that would hold up the order. I think 10 weeks is pretty fast from order to delivery and should be considered best case scenario. Also, I would suggest you have conversations with your dealership about the production schedules for the remainder of the model year. Getting very close to model year end and we may be close to order close for 2021.

You have a little time, but tik-tok...
If you went to the dealer today and placed your order, It would start down the line on October 11th, probably reach the store 3-5 weeks later. Typical gestation for Ranger scheduling.
This is the start of "silly season" when some commodities are running out and won't be replenished for an indefinite time, or at all; you can no longer order a 2021 Kodiak Brown F150 for instance. Other models have temporary holds on certain configurations, but Rangers look pretty good to go.
Retail orders always take precedence over dealer stock orders.

If you want a 2022, wait until September, but Job 1 isn't estimated until Dec 13, First 2022's hit the lot ~late January

If you order it yourself on line, which sends the order to your dealer, you get an additional rebate.
I got $1000 but I think it might have gone up some.
once the dealer gets your order they need a picture of your ID, a buyers agreement (bill of sale) probably a down payment and they fill out some special form that goes to Ford so you get your rebate when they order the truck.

I ordered a Lariat with Tremor package on 5/18 with a 15-23 week estimate before build would start. My actual build date ended up being 8/11.

Ordered my Tremor Lariat 7/27/21 - build date of 9/20/21 and estimated delivery to Dealer Oct 1st. Cant wait!! I am hearing 10-12 weeks is about average for the Rangers. I have an order pending for a Bronco too, it was put in same day as my Tremor. I am looking at a likely 2023 model, which is fine because I want a paint match top. Now I just have to convince my wife to drive the Tremor when the Bronco comes in....:)

I ordered mine at the dealer and still got the $1000 rebate, just needed ID and sign a non binding agreement. No Down Payment needed.

That may vary dealer to dealer, but probably the case. If you ultimately turn down the deal, they end up with another unit in inventory.

Thanks for the info. Do you recall what Priority Code they gave your order? I plan to go to Dealer tomorrow. Thanks.
Not sure the priority code. I am guessing they set it at 10.
Priority code 10 is the highest private retail customer priority number. 19 is the highest priority for dealer stock. In most cases, a dealer will code all their retail orders with "10" and Ford's system will prioritize all the 10's based on date and time submitted. Several weeks after I made my deal, I got a Preview Order* confirmation from Ford via the dealer which was my last chance to amend any details (I didn't). By this point in the timeline, Ford will have informed you & the dealer of any commodity holds, etc that may delay scheduling. You also will get a special web address where you can get a rather vague but accurate idea of the journey to your driveway. The dealer gets weekly detailed info on all of their incoming vehicles, and can view specific current status of any incoming on a dealer-only website called Ford Visibility- but don't hound them!

* Note that the price level can change at any time. If you walk through a dealer's lot, you may see the base price or certain options or packages differ from one vehicle to the next. Retail price levels are locked in when the order is submitted.
