2022 Ranger SuperCrew XLT Tremor
My lease is coming up on my 2019 XLT FX4 SuperCrew in April 2022. I originally thought the redesigned model would be coming close to my lease end date, but now production is not until late Spring 2023 likely making the next gen. Ranger a 2024. The current model is proven and we all know new models have growing pains. I could purchase my current one off of lease and wait, however between a deer hit and a girl backing into it requiring new doors and part of a new cab I’d rather just trade in or turn in a vehicle that had about $10k total in damage done to it. The repairs were well done, but you know how it goes. It just isn’t the same.

I found a 2022 order guide and was really pleased to see they will now offer the Tremor package on the XLT 302A high package. That is something that was missing before. My 2019 is a 302A and I think that is a nice mix of value vs luxury. Also a minor, but nice change is a color keyed entry pad option. Anyone here have a current XLT Tremor? How are the standard suede/vinyl seats vs the Lariat suede/leather seats? The 302A will make them heated and power adjustable. I also still prefer the XLT gauges vs the Lariat gauges. Last question I have is although I love my 2019 FX4 it still rides like a 1970s full sized sedan at times with that floating. I heard the Tremor rides much nicer. Is there truth in that? Thanks for any insights you have. I still have 6 months on the lease, but the dealer says I should order early with the chip shortage. I am considering cactus gray.

I have a 2021 FX4 Cactus Gray ranger. The color is definitely unique.
Part of me wishes I would have hunted down a velocity blue though. :D

I have gotten a lot of compliments on the color of it though. It's definitely one of those colors that changes in different lighting.

Just wanted to comment on the Tremor though. I put 32 inch General Grabber X3s on mine and just recently changed out the rear Ford FX shocks to FOX 2.0s that I believe come on the Tremor, and it has made a world of difference! It's completely fixed the rear bounce and "boaty" feeling. I think the Tremor rear shocks may also have remote reservoirs on them too though.

Sounds like you have it pretty well figured out. I have had mine for just over six weeks and like everything about it.

The keyless entry pad isn’t color coded but I like the feature a lot. I think the seats are pretty nice, but they get very hot (Ebony interior), so I have ordered Ruff Tuff Tactical seat covers. The ride is great. No more bounce than expected. I also have a topper on and a bit of gear stays in the bed, so that weight helps.

Cactus Gray doesn’t suck.

That’s sort of how I look at it. I have no issues with a proven design even if it isn’t the latest. Broncos are so hard to get right now and they are so behind on orders I don’t want to mess with it. I also like having a box and living in a place that seems to have about 9 months of cold weather the removable top really doesn’t matter to me.

The interesting thing is everyone at first thought this generation Ranger in North America would just be a short placeholder, but it looks like it’ll end up getting a 5 model year run after all.

Tremor ride will be less boaty feeling due to the nice suspension they have. It’s fox 2.0 with remote reservoir if I am not mistaken..

I just bought a 2022 Tremor, upgraded from my 2019 XLT. Can't get enough of these trucks but if u are not to late to order the Tremor package it's definitely worth the bang for your buck. The lockers alone are worth it plus the fox shocks is a big advantage over the FX4. So far no issues I hope, never had a single issue with my 2019 not even lag with the 10 speed. If u like the beefy appearance and plan on doing more off road it's 1000% worth considering the Tremor.
