You can always add an aftermarket locker like ARB or Detroit. You basically replace the innards of the diff with the aftermarket part and you can either get a auto locker, electric locker or air locker.

True, but you're also looking at ~$500 for the parts, and then you have a major install project. If its desired at all, I would highly recommend getting it from the factory.
