What is everyone doing for onboard air?
I’ve considered the ARB twin and the ARB portable with the carrying case. Only downside to the portable is it’s obviously bigger and would be stuck being strapped down in the bed at all times

Also, I’m assuming the tremor 10a and 5a switches aren’t powerful enough to run a compressor. How is everyone wiring them up?

I carry the portable arb compressor. Have considered taking it out of the case and mounting to my BuiltRight bed rack but I think I prefer it to be portable for now.

It’s not too big correct? Like will tuck away into the corner behind the wheel well?

Mines portable too, I've been using a Viair 88P and love it. It's small enough to fit either behind the rear seat or usually I just leave it on the floor behind the drivers seat. I usually air down to 16-18 psi and I can air up in about 4-5 minutes per tire. Like everything they've really gone up in price, I only paid $50.00 for mine back in 2019.

Behind the seat sounds like a nice touch for sure

Viair 400P which is a portable, but easily mounted as I did with mine. Comes out with a single wingnut, and is portable as needed.

When it arrived I was surprised how small it was. It does come in a bag where everything is stored, it's worked out well for my use.

I did the ARB twin, it will fit under your back seat. If you have a tremor as I do, use the 5amp switch. All your doing is activating the pressure switch the unit itself is directly ran from the battery.

Viair 300P here. Carried a Viair 88 in our previous Subi Crosstrek and the 300 in our motor home. Sold both...the 88 went to wife's Outback and the 300 resides in the Ranger.

Viair seems to be an extremely popular option

They are. A bit pricey, but probably the best of the small portable 12 volt compressors.
Among RV'ers they are the most popular, especially the 300/400/450 series. The 400/450 series can easily air up the larger class a tires...the big 20 inch and up.
The 300 I have easily aired up my class c tires to 75 psi in a matter of minutes.

I only have pics of the completed install. But if my memory serves me correct. Buy the kit with the wiring harness. 2 main fused reds to the battery and 1 black ground to the battery that splits into 2 down the line. This goes straight to the compressor motors. You'll have to lengthen the wire depending on where you put it. Then there is other harness with the kit that goes to the pressure switch. This harness also has extra connections for air lockers which you will ignore. One to your upfitter switch other ground. Someone on one of these forums has a diagram. If I find it I'll post it.
