Likely culprits:
  • head gasket
  • transmission cooler/radiator
Are you positive it’s oil and not tranny fluid?

If Engine Oil - Engine Oil Cooler or Head Gasket

If Transmission Fluid - Transmission Oil Cooler

Sorry, we do not have the manuals for the 2.0 or 3.2 - ROW Rangers for a detailed T-Shoot.
But the above would cover all engines as highly likely spots.

Check the engine oil and there is no mixing then its tranny, if there is tranny oil in his water then there is Water in his tranny :(

Usually that indicates a blown head gasket, but that's from turbo Ford days of old. I've rarely (if ever?) heard of it in the ecoboost era.
