This just came on today. Nothing in the manual about it. Thoughts and how to fix whatever is wrong?

That is showing your blind spot monitor is off.
I assume you are talking about the orange icon?

You have turned the Blind Spot system off. In the dash menus, it can be toggled on or off. See the Driving Aids and Instrument Cluster (warning lamps and indicators) sections in the owner's manual for more information.

Also in the manual.

I just went through the entire section in the manual. It should light briefly and then go out. It stayed like that for a 45 minute drive out and 45 minutes back and I was the only one in the truck. My seatbelt was on. The X through the airbag makes me think something is wrong with the system.

It is indicating that no one is in the passenger seat, so it is automatically turned off because of this. It is not a fault, but a normal condition with no passenger in the front seat. See the first bullet point in the Note section that I posted above.

Thanks for staying with me on this. It shows a "2" indicating that the drivers side is not operational either. I seem to remember them turning off after a minute if everything is normal.

I think the 2 is just showing it’s the passenger seat - second seat I guess. That whole cluster is only for the passenger airbags.

You will note all (4) lights come in at start-up and then (depending on) if passenger seat is occupied 1/2 will go out.
This is the (prove out) for the light & system self test

I guess I never noticed it until I got the BLIS message too. No idea how that got changed. Sync update?

Did the battery go dead or was it disconnected recently?

No, nothing out of the ordinary, except we have had a lot of rain here in AZ.

So just last week I pulled off to get gas, got back in and started the truck and that BLIS error message lit. I drove around the parking lot, shut off the truck, restarted and it was still on with the warning messages. Had to get to work so I got back on the freeway. Maybe 5 minutes later the messages cleared and have not returned. 🤷🏻‍♂️
