O2 sensor one reading zero

I plugged in my OBD link after not using for awhile. My O2 sensor 1 is reading zero. I have no check engine light.
I'm sure someone here has answer why.

Maybe your ODB software is configured improperly? Without an upstream O2 sensor nothing is going to work properly in your EFI and Emissions systems. You definitely should have a CEL.

Not sure about the OBD Link, but some of the cheaper scan tools and software will have a generic set of PIDs it will look for and mislead you into thinking you have a sensor that is dead.
The Ranger PIDs for the O2 Sensors are labeled as HO2S.

How are you reading it? Some PIDS are bad and don’t read right on certain devices. If you’re able to read AFR in lambda or short term fuel trim you will be able to see that it’s fine. They should read as close to 1.0 as possible at a steady engine speed no load.

Why are you looking at it? After seeing damaged OBDII ports and seeing what can happen I would be leaving that port alone unless I had a reason to be there. I also don’t trust aftermarket devices plugged into it.
