Did they tell you to pull it off? My transmission was swapped and they put the Fitzstick back on. They did charge me $100 to do it though,
I remember seeing that story. I'm not paying them $100 to unthread a fitting and move it to a new trans.

I'll do it myself. Already done it once.

The reason I did it was to cover my arse and not be able to have them throw it back at me at some point down the road. They did the transmission swap then test drove with oem stick and verified level then installed the Fitzstick and re verified level. So it’s on record that they installed and verified level. Good insurance

I'm sure it'll fix it, just wish this wasn't something so many of us were dealing with.
Light at the end of the tunnel - almost there - fingers crossed Rich. ?

Just got the call, they want it Monday for the swap, possibly as long as through Thursday

? It'll be good to have it fixed, feels lousy it's in this situation at all
They’re open on Labor day?

Double checked, apparently they're open on every holiday but Christmas and Thanksgiving.

She's going in on Monday, hopefully I'll have it back by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.

Got it back end of the fourth day, took a small road trip the next day. Shifts buttery smooth.

I'll be damned if I don't occasionally hear my mystery noise though. The investigation continues, wasn't the trans. I'm starting to think rock in my rotor assembly or something.

But it behaves very driveline/throttle related. If I'd hear it a bit going uphill foot on the gas, the second I'd let off it would disappear. So if expect rockin rotors to keep making noise whereas whatever this is, if it's rearing it's head at all, doesn't.

?

At least the trans is all fixed up and shifting well ??‍♂

For the guys that were reading the trans labels, snapped a photo

They also drained the oil and swapped my filter, I get it... but I don't want to get screwed up on my intervals and I like running full synthetic so I did another change and grabbed this while I was under there

Maybe someone can translate and see if it's anything we haven't seen yet

Looks just like mine that was installed around the end of June.
