My Lariat Super Crew has a sound in the rear cabin area that sounds like the door isn't fully shut (not the case). It's not wind noise, and the dealer tech says it's just road noise, but I'm not buying it. It's very annoying, and so far the only thing I dislike about my Ranger! Anyone else have a similar issue??
Yes my new 2020 Ranger always sounds like a window is cracked open at speeds above 40 mph . If you push in the air recirculating button it quiets it down a bit because I guess there’s an air exit vent in the passenger rear that allows extra road noise in . Same the only thing I don’t like about my new Ranger .

I’m having a noise issue in my rear passenger side too. I put 75 miles on yesterday trying various tape tests. I taped up around the outside mirrors, and along the entire rear window. With all that tape, it was very quiet. My dealer mentioned the vents too but I wanted to try these tests first. Without tape along the rear window area, the noise came back. It sure sounds like the window is open (it isn’t). Ford needs to find a solution for this noise.

Right above the jack on the back wall of the cab is a vent or something. I'm wondering if the noise isn't coming in through there.

I have a clunk sound coming from the rear of my 2019, happens driving over uneven pavement seams or railroad tracks. I did notice it pulling into the garage last evening where the garage floor and driveway are stepped. Spare and exhaust are tight, sounds like may be shocks or suspension?

Drove around for a few days without rear door panels, rear seat bench, and rear back panel carpet while doing some sound deadening. And there is A LOT of noise that comes through those vents. By a lot, I mean it sounds like a window thats wide open. Pretty crazy.
Its obviously quieter with everything reinstalled.

I have a chatty 3 year old and a car seat. So mine might make a racket when i’m driving but over the babbling and shrieking I wouldn’t know. Will loan out if you need to cover any annoying sounds. He works for happy meals and ice cream.

The seat belt buckle will rattle against the interior if it's not stowed properly.
I have experienced this exact problem, the rear middle passenger buckle was positioned just right and caused a noise also if the front passenger seat belt doesn't retract just right it will vibrate between the front passenger seat and the pillar
