I just put a set of Nitto 275/60 R17s on my all stock '21 XLT with no clearance problems. My Nittos are the same 31.7 inches in diameter as your Kumhos. I went down to my garage to cycle the front tires left to right & right to left and the closest my tires get to that brace is what appears to be slightly less than one inch.

I wonder if that might be called "manufacturing tolerances" ?‍♂

Looks like you got the same OEM wheels I got. If I recall, the wheels on the FX4 and Tremor have a different offset than the OEM 17in wheels on the non FX4, 2-wheel drive models...... Maybe wheel spacers might help?

This one has been bugging me. Side by side of mine and yours. Granted, I went up 3/4" but that is not much. It does look like your crash bar is a bit farther back than mine compared to the inner fender. Not by much.

Is it me or does my crash bar looks different. Maybe eyes are playing tricks on me. Also my crash bar didn't budge, I will have to get a leveling kit and I know it's not recommended but I do not of road.

Actually, 2 years ago, I installed wheel spacers and the tremor wheel fenders, the wheel spacers made the the tires flush with the fenders.
When I saw the rubbing, my first thought was the wheel spacers but I don't think it's the case. I will be getting the leveling kit done soon though.

Here's the clearance on my 2 wheel drive Lariat with Yokohama G015 265/70/17 tires....plenty of space and no rubbing...
No contact when turning either way....stock suspension in front,

I was going to suggest alignment issues
I actually got the alignment done the same day the tires were installed at (lifetime alignment) discount tires . Once I get the leveling kit installed and it's settled, I'll get it realigned.

That's crazy that you have that much clearance and I have none at all and I agree about the tolerances or these 4 set of tires are just an anomaly

Dude it's the wheel spacers. You pushed the tire out into the crash bars. Every other Ranger on the planet can fit this tire size. I'm running even bigger tires with a ton of clearance - no spacers.

Leveling kits don't clear bigger tires. When your suspension moves up into the wheel well, the tire is going to hit all of the same shit it did before. This tire will clear if you get rid of the wheel spacer.

It's different, my crash bars have a cover on the end of crash bar like the picture on the left. The right picture appears the end piece has been removed.

So by going up from a sidewall of 65 to 70, a leveling kit will not help because of the spacers. Now it just even more interesting or should I say confusing. I do love how the spacers give the flush look, aggressive look but not to aggressive.

You can make even the stock tire rub by adding a big enough wheel spacer. If you insist on using that offset(i.e. keeping the wheel spacer) then you need to focus on making room for the tire in the wheel well. This is why people trim fenders, remove crash bars, etc..

Leveling kits do not make room for bigger tires. Period. Regardless of wheel spacers. All a leveling kit will do is lift the vehicle higher. If the wheel can still travel up into the wheel well, it will still rub at the same spots it did before the leveling kit.

Since I first posted this issue, I have thought about different avenues and the costs. First of all I don't off road and I drive about 800 miles a month. Also, I consider myself a novice to the truck world .
I was thinking leaving the spacers on, get a 2" or 2.5", suggestions welcome, lift and remove the crash bars or getting it pushed in, as suggested previously by @Colo_Ranger. Did I miss anything?

Yeah, I gotchu. You like the look and you want the tires to fit. My point was mainly that a leveling kit will do zero to address the issue. A leveling kit does look good though.

The only things that will fix the your tire rub are either reducing the backspacing by removing the wheel spacer all together or using a smaller spacer, or, as you said, adjusting the crash bars. By adjusting I mean you can cut them, you can remove them entirely, or you can swap them with aftermarket bars that may or may not provide the same protection as the OEM bars.

I'm less inclined to touch the bars because they are a passive safety component designed to save you or your passenger's legs from being crushed in an accident, but that's just my preference.

Mine has some sort of plastic cover over it. Not sure why.
