Been lurking here and for a few weeks to gain knowledge in whether or not to purchase a Ranger. There is SOOOOOOOOO much info here, it's crazy...in a good way. I mean, I bet there's someone that started a feed on how they can install their new expresso machine
I've already ordered the above a few weeks ago, and received my confirm email. I also have finally come out of the woodwork to introduce myself on other threads without realizing...."hey, there's a thread to introduce yourself"
So.....here it goes.....
Hello everyone, my name is Alex, and I'm a Ranger-holic! My wallet is hidden for now until I actually get confirmation it is ACTUALLY being shipped. Until then I will live vicariously through you guys. Last Ford I owned was a '91 ESCORT GT
After owning a few Fords and GM's back then, and having nothing but problems with them, I mainly owned Japanese manufactured vehicles for the last 20 years. I had very little issue with any of them. Not trying to bash, just my experience.
So after owning all these vehicles, I finally wanted a nice sturdy truck. But the F-150's seemed too big for what I needed, and the "mid-size" now, is what a "full size" used to be back in the day. Was seriously looking at the new Frontier, but decided to go back and try Ford out. I don't need all the bells and whistles like our previous vehicles had. Just a good 'ol pickem up truck! I'm no mechanic, but an excellent parts changer ? and seeing the things people are doing here, makes me feel confident I can tackle some of these projects on my own...hopefully?
That's what I'm afraid of...in a good way I guessWelcome Alex! Smart move by not buying anything until it's at least built. I almost ordered a bunch of stuff for my Bronco and so glad I didn't now. Once my Jeep was confirmed built I had the UPS/FedEx guys daily dropping stuff off. lol
Soon enough you'll say goodby to your savings account. ?

my current ride. i will miss her if i pull the trigger on a rangerjust signed up. my raptor is over 8 years old and i am thinking it might be time for a new ride. i love my raptor (who wouldnt) but given changes in circumstances in my life (i just recently semi-retired) i cant really justify purchasing another one. i would want a v8 anyways, and the raptor R is probably gonna be north of 90k by the time its all said and done. so im thinking about ordering another ranger (i have owned 2 from the last gen and really liked the trucks). just getting the process started, so i will be lurking around here with alot of questions in the coming weeks. or maybe you can convince me to keep the beast!
Congrats! Can you tell us just exactly what the 302a has as far as mirrors and seats? A lot of speculation out there on what the 2022 302a’s are actually being built with. ThanksTook delivery yesterday of my ‘22 Ranger XLT with the 302A package, spray in liner, hard trifold cover, block heater, and hitch receiver. It was dealer ordered and I was lucky to grab it a couple of weeks ago while it was still in the pipeline. Planning to add drop step nerf bars.![]()
Nice clean looking truck. Congrats!!!Snagged a '19 CPO last night, looking forward to figuring it out (hopefully with minimal hiccups along the way)

Welcome to the looney bin, Steve! This was my favorite Ranger project yet. You have excellent taste! Looks like it should’ve came this way from the factory!Hi, Steve here from Arkansas. Did a little transformation of the 2019 XLT Ranger today. I think it turned out perfect.![]()
