Greetings Ranger5G- I picked up a 2019 Ranger XLT 4X2 in ingot silver exactly two weeks ago today. Loving it. Looked at the Tacoma and Colorado after deciding I wanted something smaller than an F-150 or Silverado, but still needed the cargo capacity for my hobbies. The Ranger was just right for me. It came with the Sport package and Group 301A. I added the Raptor grill, leveling kit, Method Wheels, and BFG A/T 265/70/17 before taking delivery. I've since installed the Bakflip MX4 (and encountered the same install issues as others have mentioned), Rough Country bed mat, and I added tint, a sub and upgraded the speakers. I also removed the Sport stickers, dealer sticker and ecoboost badge.

I considered 4X4, but skipped it and decided to save the dough it after realizing I've engaged the 4WD on my Tahoe exactly twice in 3 years.

This forum was really valuable to me in making my decision, so thanks to all.

Hello!

Just drove my new ranger off the lot yesterday, pictures attached. Told the dealer on Sunday that I didn’t want any fancy bells and whistles. The only thing I really wanted was the FX4 package. The next day they brought me back a truck that was exactly what I wanted... a Ranger XL STX with the FX4 package. I love it! I like how basic the truck is, however it still has a lot of convenient features. It’s exactly what I want in a truck, not too fancy, but gets the job done!

Traded in my Mercedes C300 4Matic for this truck and I know I will never look back!

Very nice Ranger, glad you got what you wanted.
However I would of edited out that woeful FCA vehicle in the background, you would have to pay me to drive such a vehicle.
Given the choice I'd sell it ASAP on Craigslist (the Ram and not your Ford)..lol

One of my friends asked me the same thing... however I actually really like the work truck appearance!

That’s the neighbors truck! Not my vehicle of choice either... makes me appreciate the ranger MUCH more .

Congrats on your new truck! You should've photoshopped a tow chain between your truck and the Ram.

Just bought my Ranger Lariat SuperCrew on Tuesday. Loving it so far! It's my first truck and the first new vehicle I've ever owned!

My initial plans are to do the line-x pro liner, retracting tonneau conver and raptor grille.

Been looking at the Ranger5g site for a few weeks now and seems like a great community. Glad to be a member.

I had a 2003 Tundra SR5 8 foot bed 4x4 short cab that I loved...was in a jam last year with 7K worth of work plus..traded it for a Tacoma OR Double Cab 6ft bed. Year or so later was tired of the power train and tranny..otherwise a fantastic truck that I had a lot of fun owning. Had the Ranger been available at the time I needed to let go of the Tundra, it would have been what I ended up with. So a year later she is in my driveway, picked her up on 9/2/2019.
